Today, I would like to review one of my favorite books, Elon Musk: Tesla, SpaceX, and the Quest for a Fantastic Future. The book was written by a journalist, writer Ashlee Vance. The book was first published on 19 May 2015. It is about Elon Musk's vision of an independent and multifactorial life, a succession of failures and accomplishments. The book is based on interviews with him and 300 other people. It has 400 pages.
Elon's world
The first chapter describes Elon Musk's nature, some of his life details, and his business. He is an engineer and a businessman with a South African accent. His dream is to reside humanity on Mars. His ideas are futuristic and he is techno-utopian. He is humorous. He is purposeful, and hard-working because of his difficult childhood in Africa, and his son's death. Being a strong individual, he has his own version of everything. He is against the development of Artificial intelligence. His rocket factory Space X is located in Hawthorne, California in an area of 550,000 square feet. He is a founder of Space X and Tesla Motors. He is a chairman and the biggest shareholder of Solar City. Thus he develops space, automotive, and energy industries. In 1995 in Francisco, he founded Zip2 as an online maps system. In 1999 Compaq bought it for 307 million dollars. He invested his 22 million start-up in PayPal and became the biggest shareholder in the company. In 2002 eBay bought Paypal for 1.5 billion dollars and Elon became rich. Then, he moved to Los Angeles and Invested 100 million dollars in SpaceX, 70 million in Tesla, and 30 million in Solar City.
